Spirit Jump is a board game that has one player and its spirit. The object of the game is to advance the player and spirit to as many levels as possible while saving resources.
The player can only swipe left and right if there are available spaces to move to. The player will automatically jump forward to a new row every 10 seconds until a new level is achieved where the row jump will speed up making each level more challenging.
The player has three buttons called ammo, spirit, and skill. The ammo button can break blocks and gather resources. However, the ammo button can only break blocks if the block color under the player matches the color of the block in front of the player. The spirit button moves the spirit from the current block to a new block that is directly in front of the player. The skill button can break blocks of any color and gather resources but is only available if the player has coins.
Coins are added for every block destroyed. Health and ammo are added during gameplay by breaking the medic box and ammo box.
There are hidden obstacles such as bombs that will damage the health of the spirit. There is an energy beam that appears when the player uses the ammo button to destroy a block between two blocks of the same color. To destroy the energy beam one of the two blocks at the ends of the energy beam must be destroyed.
The game ends when the player advances into a block, ammo box, medic box, energy beam, runs out of ammo, the spirit runs out of health, or the player passes the spirit.
At the end of the game, the player may achieve a certain level in the game. Further achievements can be won if levels are won with fewer resources used.
